The mission of High & Mighty Therapeutic Riding and Driving Center is to provide equine-assisted services to those of all abilities, with the goal of enhancing physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Founded by Kenneth and Evelyn Harris in the 1960s, High & Mighty began as a Hackney Pony breeding farm and reached national acclaim for the high quality of the ponies raised.

As the Founder and Executive Director, Laura is the woman behind all the magic. High & Mighty was founded in 2011 as a PATH Member Center, became a 501(c)(3) in 2013 and in 2019 became a PATH Premier Accredited Center. None of these accomplishments would have been possible without her whole-hearted dedication to the High & Mighty mission.
Meet the Board

Joe Ackiewicz joined the High & Mighty team in 2017. He lives in North Chatham with his wife and two daughters, two dogs, two cats and three horses. He has a degree in accounting from Lehigh University, where he put himself through college on a football scholarship. He then went on to get his MBA from Fordham University while living and working in NYC.
