We provide life skills training to young adults with Down Syndrome so that they are able to live as independently as possible whether he or she lives with family, friends or completely independently. We offer hands on classes that encompass cooking, leisure skills, gardening, home economics, housekeeping, simple banking, animal care, nutrition, interpersonal skills, and healthy eating and exercise habits.
Speech Milestones

Understands words for common items and people-words like cup, truck, juice, mommy and daddy. Follows and understands routines gets shoes when you say "We're going to Grandma's house." Incorporate movement into play as physical movement can make things more interesting which may help stimulate vocabulary.
Feeding Milestones
Report
Coughing, inability to stay latched, milk leaking should be reported to your doctor immediately. Toddlers crave routines and structure: eat at a table, eat together, offer a small variety, always have one preferred food, and creating a positive atmosphere. NO GRAZING and walking around the house snacking.
