We have 3 guarded pools (leisure, 25 yard lap pool with 4 lanes, dive well with 1 meter board), a tot pool with spray feature and climbing structure. Enjoy lounge chairs in sun or shade, half-court basket ball, and a dining area with grills (bring your own picnic). Facilities also include outdoor showers, handicapped/gender neutral bathroom, and changing rooms with lockers, toilets and showers.
We are full, but memberships not used in a season are available for rental by families on the Wait List. Calendar events will be posted closer to season start in May, as conditions are subject to change. The University City Swim Club (UCSC) opened in 1964, a half-block from 48th Street & Spruce Street, Philadelphia. UCSC is a non-profit private club with a proud history of diversity. A complete reconstruction in 2004 gave us the beautiful pools we enjoy today, and our locker rooms were rebuilt for the 2014 season.

Gray Laub has been a Board member since 2009, has lived in University City since 2007, and has been a Club member since that time. Gray is a partner at the law firm of Dilworth Paxson LLP in Philadelphia, where he specializes in corporate and securities law. Dr. Adrienne Wallace-Chew has been a member of the University City Swim Club since its inception.

This organization, a non-profit Corporation, organized under the Pennsylvania Nonprofit Corporation Law of 1988 15 Pa. The purposes and objectives of the Corporation are to promote and provide, to the extent possible, for the moral, educational, physical and social wellbeing of its members. The Club offers a full summer of fun, including full access to four spectacular pools (toddler pool, leisure pool, 25-yard lap pool, and diving well), half-court basketball, a Dino Climber for kids, and locker/changing/shower facilities. We also have outdoor showers and a family/ accessible bathroom.
Financial Terms and Conditions

All Members of the University City Swim Club are assessed dues and fees annually and must pay them in a timely fashion to remain members in good standing and to use the Club. Online Registration: We are moving to a new online registration platform with many advantages and urge everyone to use it. Detailed instructions will be available when system is live, likely mid -March.
