We are a family owned business, managed and operated by two sisters, Jennifer and Caroline. We opened this location in 2006, but have been in business since the 1980's. The original Minia's Bake Shop was opened in 1989 by our parents, Ben and Minia Ayala. It was also located in Newark. Before opening in 1989, our mom started the business out of her home taking orders from family and friends.
She continued building relationships with her customers and the community and had a successful business for many years. The land was eventually sold for housing in 1998. Many remember us as the two little girls behind the counter. While managing the storefront we also learned the art of cake baking and decorating.

You have the choice of adding piping design to the cake or leave it with a smooth texture. We offer scrollwork, pillowtop, dotted, horizontal texture, rustic texture.
