Been dying to go back to this place because we loved it the first time. But I'm very upset to open and see how burnt parts of my pizza is. it's unexceptionable, they should've made me a new one. however, honestly this place is very unique with their guava dough and many choices of toppings. I hope they do better.

Our local pizza shop food is always freshly cooked and piping hot . Friendly service the owner Chris is a lovely man and takes time to know his regular customers . We have a particularly fussy family of eaters due to having sensory requirements with food . We custom our orders and Chris always ensures they are right .

Haven't been here for a while thought I would try again. It was always a great pizza in the past and it still is. Ordered the Seoul mate (but with mac nut garlic sauce instead of trad. red sauce.) and Thai Dal wave hold the jalapeños as tummy can't handle anymore. Both with a crisp crunch even after the ride home. Both very savory, lots of flavor! Have it with a salad to counter the carbs. It's a nice thin crisp crust so carbs are minimized. Yum! Glad you're STILL great despite all the challenges food establishments have endured.

I really wanted to like this place, based on all the positive reviews. I wouldn't recommend this place and not sure if I would call it "Gourmet".
I ordered the Lava Tube and Speciality Pizza. Both were extremely underwhelming in flavor, and the crust was very difficult to chew. Not sure if it didn't rise properly. There was absolutely no sauce in either of the pizzas??? There was also barely any toppings...It was not worth the price for $33. I literally had to get a jar of my own store bought marina sauce to make this edible. At this rate, I would have enjoyed frozen pizzas

Heard alot about Sophie's Gourmet Pizza. Located in Hawaii Kai shopping center. Lots of parking. Currently no indoor seating. They have a glass counter so I'm guessing precovid one could watch their pizza being made.
Ordering was easy. It took about 20 mins for 3 pizzas to be made. I ordered
1) pepperoni pizza
2) pepperoni, hawaiian chicken
3) mushroom, pepperoni
I like the crust it was not flat and dry. It was soft and easy to chew. Burst of flavor with marinara, cheese. And pepperoni.
Limited seating out back 3 tables overlooking the marina.. we got to see a sunset. I was lucky

A super great find. I love pizza. We happened to be in the area and hungry. We yelped for something nearby. Sophie's popped up w/good reviews.
The pizza was delicious!
We had a double pepperoni (didn't seem like it was double tho) pineapple; a Hawaii Pie O; a cheese pizza; and a pepperoni/pineapple/jalapeño pizza's.

I recently decided to order a pizza after seeing many people order and it looking like a good idea. After ordering the 3 topping pizza for $14 and picking it up, I noticed I had hardly any toppings at all. I went back asking the owner if this was how much it comes with and he assured me that this was his standard, pointed out each topping on the pie and closed my box and walked away. I was very confused and taken back by how short he was. Good pizza, but very poor customer service. I can understand if this is how much toppings you put for a 1 topping pizza, but after seeing other people's

So I have this thing that when my culinary palate is bored, I like to drive restaurant owners and servers crazy cause I like to change up everything on my order. My rule is to not make more than two changes on one item and if you make that more than one or ask something completely out of the ordinary, be a good tipper cause not all people like to be challenged.
At Sophie's, my challenge for them is usually making their "Sophie'isticated" vegetarian by subbing sun-dried tomato or grape tomatoes for salami depending on how healthy I feel. If I want it less dry, I will sub ricotta

TLDR; pizza was pretty disappointing and I would not come again.
I ordered the seoul and thai pizzas. Both weren't anything amazing - definitely not worth the price either. I also ordered the spicy chicken wings, but it was okay. I would argue that papa John's, domino or Pizza Hut pizzas are better.
It was fairly easy to call and order. The pizzas and chicken wings were ready in about 15 minutes.

We ordered a margherita and a pepperoni. They were delivered within 30 mins by a very polite chap who was extremely grateful for the tip (despite it being relatively small - i didn't have much cash on the house). Anyway, the pizzas were hot and tasty. The kids were happy so I'll be ordering again in future.

I often get takeaways from here, and they are very nice. The delivery service usually takes around 1 hour to deliver, so I would pre-order and have patience lol. For dining-in, the food is served very quickly, but if you order the pasta, it usually gets heated in the microwave - nonetheless the flavour is spot-on and delicious. The pizzas are very tasty, I would say that this is the best local pizza restaurant for anyone who wants a nice pizza takeaway. Also, their chicken nuggets are very similar in taste to Maccie's.

So glad we did-best pizza I've had in Hawaii! We all created our own pizzas rather than going with their offerings though they were different from the usual pizza offerings.
I went with the regular crust rather than the guava and the crust was delicious, crispy and tasting of the oven. My son had the guava crust and said it was okay but think he'll go with regular next time.
We all went with the 2 cheese and 5 topping

Embarrassingly poor service. Waited for an hour and a quarter with no sign of a delivery - had to call to find out what was wrong and was met with rude and unhelpful staff. Had to cancel the order. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
EDIT: They then replied to my review by lying about the circumstances and verbally attacking me further! I did not demand that the order be free at all and am offended at the suggestion. True that they offered a £3 cake but I rejected this (simply because I don't like cake) and asked if there was anything else I could have instead and they said it was either that or they'd cancel

To be honest I expected a little more from this joint because the reviews were pretty good.
My experience here wasn't outstanding and I would say it was just ok.
The pizza took quite a little time to prepare, they were missing some toppings because they ran out. Overall the experience was good. A mix of salad and pizza (combo).
Would probably come back and try something else, but it was good!

Very nice food I chose Sophie's because this place was the only one not listed as selling Halal meat. I don't eat Halal meat but it is all too comon these days 98% of take aways only do Halal.
The pizzas where hot and the garlic bread was nice. Tho I only wanted 1 pizza I got 2. I think this was to do with just eat tho not Sophie staff.

It's an excellent small pizza business inside Koko Marina Center. They have a variety of 12" pizzas available on their menu, or you can even customize your own (3 toppings to 5 toppings). And there are also a wide variety of toppings to choose from, both meats and vegetarian. For the crust, the two options are Sophie's Original (which I've gone with most often) and the Guava Infused Dough (I couldn't really taste the guava inside this one, however). The food is made to order and fresh!
