Disorders
Report
Having worked with a wide variety of clients over the years, number of clients have gone on to college or have returned to college or programs to finish with their degrees. One young man who was bullied as a child and an adolescent had become very reclusive after high school. He didn't go out and socializing was painful and frightening.
Ptsd
Report
The condition may last months or years, with triggers that can bring back memories of the trauma accompanied by intense emotional and physical reactions. Symptoms may include nightmares or unwanted memories of the trauma, avoidance of situations that bring back memories of the trauma, heightened reactions, anxiety, or depressed mood.
Self Esteem
Report
Learning about how you view yourself and what worth and value you are to other people is important. It is also important to value yourself. Your choices and decisions work hand in hand with your self esteem. People with higher self esteem are more motivated to take care of themselves and strive towards fullfilling goals.
Self Awareness
Report
The ability to monitor our emotions and thoughts from moment to moment is key to understanding ourselves better, being at peace with who we are and proactively managing our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In addition, self-aware people tend to act consciously (rather than react passively), and tend to be in good psychological health and to have a positive outlook on life.
Parenting
Report
Learning how to parent, without causing stress on the child is difficult. Just by sending them texts during the day prior to a big test can add to their anxiety. Talking to your kids in an effective, positive way can help with your parenting and the child will not feel like they have been lectured to, and they will tend to listen more!
