We are a premier full-service equestrian center with an inclusive environment. We are beautifully situated on 30 acres surrounded by over 300 acres of forest preserve in Chicago's western suburbs. Bull Run Equestrian Center is open 7 days a week, so please feel free to visit us at any time. We are minutes from the Elburn Metra Station and easily accessible from most major tollways.

Our facility features an attached 70' x 200' indoor arena with dust-free footing, and a beautifully situated 100' x 300' sand outdoor arena. Arenas are dragged daily and footing is updated regularly. Additionally, riders will enjoy our grass derby/hunt field with rolltops, coops and logs, as well as direct access to miles of forest preserve trails.

As a welcoming, family-friendly facility, we take great pride in creating quality opportunities for horseback riders from every background to engage with quality instruction and learning.
Boarding
Report
Our staff has decades of experience and a wealth of knowledge, which allows us to create customized care programs for each horse. Staff resides on site to provide care 24/7. Our completely updated facilities are surprisingly affordable. We have several boarding options, including share boarding. We also offer full service boarding.
Horse Shows

We are proud to attend USEF AA and A-rated shows throughout the year and occasional NIHJA shows. We show at nearby horse show facilities including Ledges Sporting Horses and Lamplight Equestrian Center, and we regularly travel to other outstanding venues including Kentucky Horse Park (Lexington, KY), Post Time Farm (Ocala, FL) and Flintfields Horse Park (Traverse City, MI).
Fox Hunting
Report
We support our local fox hunt and our riders who participate in this activity. Fox hunting is a spectator sport as our riders and families enjoy watching the hounds on their chase and the horses galloping through the countryside. Many fox hunters and hunt staff members board at Bull Run Equestrian Center, and all of our trainers have earned their colors.
