First impressions, for better or worse, determine a lot. The owner responded to my inquiry quickly, then went MIA--so I had to follow-up on my response to get a brief call. She spent all of 2-3 minutes on the phone with me before abruptly saying she could send me some information--though it wouldn't be a full proposal. Um, aren't you a PR firm? Don't you want clients? Worked for her brand, peculiar level of professionalism and respect. Never followed up with pay stub information and was ignored when I requested my W2s via email and text. Sent a message saying "Hello, Is this Kate?", responded "Possibly" and ignored my W2 request message. I'm all for small businesses, but not being walked over/disrespected as a former employee.

We wanted so badly to see if Kate and her team could help us out with PR/marketing needs. We were excited because her work looked very promising. However, we contacted them 3 times before getting a response then tried to set up a phone call and just never heard back after proposing a time/date. It’s too bad because we really expected more enthusiasm especially from someone in this customer service driven business. It just would not make sense to hire someone that we had to try so hard to work with from the get go.
