We are a family owned and operated restaurant, serving homemade food for 19 years in the same location. We are open from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday thru Friday and 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Breakfast and lunch are served all day long. We offer off site catering for almost any size group and any occasion.
The name Whistle Stop fits with our wonderful town, Boone is home to the Union Pacific Railroad and the Boone Scenic Valley Railroad. Boone is in central Iowa, 15 minutes west of Ames ( Home of Iowa State University) and approximately 40 minutes north from the state capitol of Des Moines.
