Sandstone Stables is a hunter/jumper horseback riding facility located in Colts Neck, New Jersey. We provide knowledgeable, quality horseback riding lessons in a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. With beautiful grounds, large jumping and dressage rings, indoor arena and access to trails, . We focus on hunters, jumpers, and equitation, with a solid grounding in dressage principles and effective, correct, and safe horsemanship practices.
Our diverse community of horse lovers includes people of all ages and backgrounds, from young children to adults. Sandstone Stables has a wide range of much-loved, well-trained, and safe horses and ponies for all skill levels. Our wonderful lesson horses take care of new or timid riders and will gladly step into the show ring for those who wish to compete.

Sandstone Stables is committed to quality instruction for riders of all abilities, child through adult and beginner through advanced, whether you have your own horse or choose to ride one of our lesson horses or ponies. Our riding instructors focus on strengthening basic skills such as flatwork, position, impulsion, straightness, and rhythm.

Sandstone Stables, located in Zone 2, is a very active participant in the show scene. We attend a variety of competitions all over the East Coast, from schooling shows to prestigious rated shows. Sandstone Stables is home to the Suddenlea Sandstone IEA team, which is an ideal opportunity for middle and high school students who wish to prepare for college riding in the IHSA.
