Tall Tailz Charters is a unique private charter business offering a variety of "on the water" services along the Newport RI coast, Narragansett Bay and Cape Cod. We specialize in light tackle inshore fishing, but also offer lighthouse and mansion tours, sunset cruises and customized excursions. We use a number of different techniques to target fish and adjust as conditions change.

A: Each season is different and dependent on weather. We start our Rhode Island charter fishing season in late April and fish hard until mid December. The truth is, it's all good! A: Normally, no. Each private charter booked is for the entire boat to yourself. However, if we have last minute cancellations or another unique circumstance we will offer a per person option to fill the boat.

We fish for a number of inshore species here like striped bass, bluefish, fluke, tautog, sea bass, scup, squid, bonito and false albacore.
