Pollyanna Moody's holistic teaching combines exercises for the body, mind and soul. She has taught music for over 20 years. In 1996 Pollyanna founded the Hancock Music Studio where she teaches Voice, Piano and Bodymapping. For over 15 years she was part of the Marylhurst University music faculty and she taught as adjunct music faculty at Portland Community College, Rock Creek Campus.
Pollyanna Moody, soprano, currently sings with Light Opera of Portland, Fireside Carolers, and Portland Phoenix Choirs Theatrical Performers. She has been a featured soloist with many groups, including members of the Oregon Symphony, Vivace Voices, the Oregon Repertory Singers and Marylhurst Choral Union.

Are you looking for a teacher to help you establish healthy vocal technique in either classical or contemporary commercial music styles?. Hancock Music Studio believes that anyone can sing well with helpful guidance and practice. Ms. Moody offers a holistic teaching combines exercises for the body, mind and soul.
Warm Up and Technique

These exercises are designed to accompany what happens in the voice lessons. A common way to identify intervals by ear is to associate them with songs or so-called interval reference songs. Diaphragmatic breathing is one of the most important skills in singing. I won't take my shirt off to show you the movement of the abdominal wall, but these guys have!
Studio Policy/Payment

Timeliness is essential, call or text me if you will be late. Cancellations require 24 hours notice by telephone. Cancellations without 24 hours notice will be considered forfeited and no make-up lesson will be given. If I must cancel a class, a refund will be given. Parents of young children are welcome and encouraged to stay in the studio during your child's lesson.
Studio Policy/Payment

Now accepting beginning through intermediate students of all ages. The client is financially responsible for the arranged lesson time, regardless of whether you attend. Lessons times MAY be able to rescheduled with 24 hour notification. Cancellations without 24 hours notice will be considered forfeited and tuition is due in full.
