Private Lessons are offered for children and adult students at the beginning through advanced levels. Students can choose from a range of styles including pop, jazz, rock, blues, and classical. With private lessons, students can learn to play music that interests and motivates them. In addition, individualized instruction allows students to progress at their own pace and gain the best understanding of musical techniques.
Recitals

Altadena Academy of Music students are invited to participate in multiple optional recitals throughout the year. All ages and levels are welcome to perform and our professional, experienced instructors take great care in preparing students for the recitals. Recitals are free for students, families, and friends to attend and are held at a location near the school.
Bass Guitar

Bass guitar lessons can start any time of the year and we teach children and adults students at the beginning through advanced levels. Bass guitar students can choose from a variety of styles such as pop, jazz, rock, blues, and classical. Beginning students usually start with a 30 minute lesson once per week with the bass guitar instructor.
Cello Lessons

Cello lessons can start any time of the year and we teach children and adult students at the beginning through advanced levels. Beginning students usually start with a 30 minute lesson once per week with the cello instructor. The teacher will demonstrate how to properly hold and play the cello as well as how to care for the instrument.
