Drive-Rite Driving School is a family owned and operated company that has been teaching safe driving for over 60 years. It was founded by William "Babe" Porter a former Maryland State Trooper. We have two locations to provide MVA certified Driver's Education courses and also offer lessons for CDL Tractor Trailer training.

Drivers Education

We offer a MVA-certified, 36-hourDriver's Educationcourse. This includes 30 hours of classroom training and 6 hours of behind the wheel driving. After completing this 36 hour course you will be eligible to obtain your driver's license. Need some extra practice? 2 hour behind the wheel driving lessons with an MVA certified instructor in our specially equipped cars are available.

You do not need your learner's permit to start the class, but you will be required to have it before you start your behind the wheel driving. However it is strongly recommended that students have their permit before starting class, so that they can start practicing their skills learned from the driver's education units.
