Houston Aircraft Instruments, Inc. was founded in 1974 by the late Ernie Eskine. Our company began at William P. Hobby Airport in Houston, Texas and has been serving the aviation industry for over 47 years with one goal in mind; to develop a reputation for quality service at a reasonable price.
During the 1970's and 1980's, our company developed a fine reputation by word of mouth in the local and regional areas for quality overhaul of aircraft instrumentation and dependable service.We grew substantially over the years and the locations of clients spread throughout the country. By the late 1990's, HAI had not only developed an excellent reputation among a wide range of clients in the continental United States, but globally as well.

The founder of Houston Aircraft Instruments, Inc. (HAI), Ernie Eskine, was born in White Castle, Lousiana. Ernie joined the U.S. Navy in 1943, and served as a Boatswains Mate 2nd Class aboard the U.S.S. Admiralty Islands (CVE-99) and the U.S.S. Enterprise (CV-6), during World War II.
After the war, Ernie moved to Texas and worked as a roustabout for Shell Oil Company until enrolling in Houston Technical College, where he received a degree in horology as a Master Watchmaker.During the early 1950's, he worked in the horological field on railroad and aircraft chronographs.
