Alexandria Soccer Association

Programs develop character, mental and physical fitness, and interpersonal skills. ASA is dedicated to ensuring that ALL kids who want to play, have the opportunity to find success both on and off the field. Alexandria Soccer Association (ASA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, established in 1970 in Alexandria, Virginia.

ASA's recreational league is a volunteer based, inclusive soccer program for kids of all abilities and experience levels, ages 4-19. The league is all about fun, fitness and friendships! Teams practice once a week and play games on Saturdays in Alexandria (high school teams sometimes opt to practice twice per week).

Whether you have a child who plays soccer for ASA or not, all volunteers are welcome. No previous soccer experience is required! Coaching kids can be very rewarding and ASA aims to make the experience easy and attainable for all those interested. ASA provides coaches with a coach shirt, coaching gear (cones, pinnies, balls) and weekly practice sessions.

After the identification days you will be contacted by the Junior Academy Director with information about your child's placement. If your child is selected to join the Junior Academy program you will determine whether your child will attend one or two practices per week (see further information below) and complete the registration online.

These programs are designed to expose young players to the structure and learning environment set by professional coaches. Ball Mastery & Alexandria Growth Program (AGP) help players enhance their soccer knowledge and skills while building a solid technical foundation and love for the game. Ball Mastery participants work on soccer skills in a productive and fun learning environment with professional coaches.
