Confluence Brewing

Confluence is defined by our respect for tradition, a passion for innovation and a relentless commitment to quality. That teenaged Iowan was John Martin, and that year he and his high school buddy, Sean McClain, tried to make a drinkable raisin almond beer. John's wife Katie appreciated his passion and quickly became his brewing enabler; the newlywed couple even picked up supplies for home brewing while on their honeymoon in 1995.

With stunning views of our brewing equipment, the taproom offers a great atmosphere to meet old friends and make new ones. There's room for groups large and small with flexible table and booth seating. If you love the great outdoors, you'll love our dog-friendly deck and beer garden with access to the Gray's Lake bike trail.

Everyone who makes beer-whether a novice home brewer or seasoned professional-loves the fascinating combination of art and science involved in crafting beer they can be proud of. Although there are only four main ingredients in beer- water, yeast, malt and hops-the process of brewing offers virtually endless possibilities for creativity, discovery and enjoyment.

We sure hope you guys are enjoying our "Beer a Week" release schedule bringing you (at least) one new beer every single Friday of the year! Batch 1533 is the 87th release of 2021. This hazy double IPA is triple dry hopped with Sabro, Citra, Bravo, and Styrian Cardinal hops that bring bright aromas and flavors of orange, pineapple, coconut, and gentle resin.

Unfortunately, we do not allow any pets in the Taproom but dogs are permitted in our beer garden and on the deck. Separate entrance: Other than service animals, dogs are not permitted in the building at any time. Dogs are only allowed on the deck and in the beer garden. Dogs may not access the deck or beer garden through the building.
