Dionne Brunson, OTR/L is a graduate of Tuskegee University with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She is a gifted and thoughtful caretaker of children with two sons of her own. Dionne is a distinguished and experienced Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of service. Since 2002, Dionne has successfully owned and operated Progress Village Pediatric Therapy.

We are all excited to get our children back out with their friends and make some new friends along the way! Social skills groups enhance children's ability to perform age - appropriate engagement and social interaction skills and can help in the following areas:.
Speech Therapy

Aquatic therapy also helps relax muscles as pool water is maintained at a warm temperature around 88-90 degrees. Movement within and against warm water has a massaging effect on muscles, joints, and ligaments improving circulation and reducing inflammation pain. Treatment sessions are one on one and are individually tailored to the child's needs.
Occupational Therapy

A speech disorder refers to a problem with the actual production of sounds, whereas a language disorder refers to a difficulty understanding or putting words together to communicate ideas. Articulation disorders: difficulties producing sounds in syllables or saying words incorrectly to the point that listeners can't understand what's being said.
Virtual Therapy

Children with autism, as well as those with other developmental disabilities, may have a dysfunctional sensory system. Sometimes one or more senses are either over- or under-reactive to stimulation. Such sensory problems may be the underlying reason for such behaviors as rocking, spinning, and hand-flapping.
