The TCMAA branch of MJLH has been taught at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) by Sifu Brian Tuan since 1981. Originally identified at UCI as the Kung Fu Club, which eventually re-located to the newly built Anteater Recreation Center (ARC) in 2000, and was re-designated as the Kung Fu class.
The Kung Fu class is still being taught at the ARC concurrently with the expansion of the new private studio location located in Lake Forest. Our sole purpose is preserve the legacy of the MJLH style passed down from GGM Yeh Yu Ting to Grandmaster Raymond Wong to Sifu Tuan.

Mi Jong Lo Han is characterized by its high mobility and wide array of strikes, kicks, footwork, take-downs and classical weapons use.
Curriculum
Report
The beginning curriculum consists of a series of drills, exercises, techniques, and forms along with sparring. This curriculum develops initial self-defense skills through fundamental kicking and striking techniques as well as Chin Na (), take downs, and power generation basics. In a vein similar to the original Ching Wu () curriculum, 10 fundamental forms are utilized to provide the foundation for more advanced core material.
Tai Chi
Report
Yang-style Tai Chi Chuan () is an "internal" martial art style, "externally" known for its health enhancing, slow moving forms and exercises. Traditional Yang Tai Chi also includes martial and self-defense aspects that remain health enhancing for the practitioner but less than healthy for an assailant or attacker.
Self Defense
Report
A fundamental course in self defense with a simple multi-layered approach starting with situational awareness and minimizing your potential as a target. Classes will progress to hand-to-hand applications and use of improvised "tools" for defensive purposes; basic evasion and escape techniques as well as strikes, kicks and take downs will be integral.
New Students
Report
All classes begin with the opening salutation and end with the closing salutation. If you arrive to class late, salute to Sifu or the instructor(s) then join the class when he/she tells you to. If you need to leave the class early, inform Sifu or an instructor of your departure and salute before leaving.
