The martial arts offer benefits to children, men and women of all ages developing discipline, concentration, confidence, physical fitness, self-control and self-defense. At FMAC, we focus on traditional Korean martial arts: Taekwondo, Hapkido and Kumdo. Taekwondo emphasizes fast and powerful kicking techniques. Kumdo encompasses Korean swordsmanship. We provide classes tailored to all ages and levels focusing on small group and attention to individual instruction.

Family Martial Arts Center is located in Lake Forest, California and was created fifteen years ago by Grand Master Michael Kim and Master Monica Kim. They both combine more than 60 years of experience teaching martial arts in the United States and Korea and are certified instructors in Taekwondo, Hapkido and Kumdo.
Taekwondo

Each session of the program consists of a 45 minutes class. The program introduces young kids to the basic techniques of Taekwondo. It also promotes the values of Taekwondo such as discipline, respect, self-confidence and self-defense. Our students learn to focus, listen, and gain confidence while sharpening their motor skills, increasing their flexibility, strength and endurance.

Great place if you are looking for a family friendly school. Master Kim and Mrs. Monica, the owners, have been able to teach Taekwondo with integrity and dedication in a disciplined, respectful and skillful way, and yet making it fun for younger kids. My son has been attending since he was 3 1/2 and he is now becoming a focused and confident young man.
