World-Class Ballet Performances & Training in Fort Worth, TX
Since our founding in 1961, Texas Ballet Theater has evolved from a small regional ballet company to an internationally recognized organization. Under the artistic direction of Tim O'Keefe, we present a repertoire that spans timeless classics to modern works, serving as resident company for Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth and the Winspear Opera House in Dallas. Our mission focuses on creating, presenting, and touring world-class ballet while promoting accessibility and technical mastery through professional performances, educational programs, and community outreach initiatives.

With studios in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Richardson, we offer training from preschool to pre-professional levels, including specialized programs like Adaptive Dance and CityDance. Our commitment to excellence extends to partnerships with public schools, lecture demonstrations, and student matinees that make ballet accessible to diverse audiences. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we rely on donor support to sustain our artistic vision and community impact.

Our daughter did the Jr. Ballet Intensive this summer and loved it! She has attended every year since age 5 (level appropriate), but there the challenge of learning new techniques in 2 weeks with a week off and back for another 2 weeks helped from becoming burned out and preventing any injuries that are common in prepointe. Thank you for having this available for the kids during the summer and hope to see you soon.

My daughter has been going for 10 years. The discipline is excellent for classical ballet training. Preparation for future with a company having the best technique training in Fort Worth. Not having to deal with competitions and focusing on training is a plus. The staff is well trained and will not move a student up to point unless they are ready.
Coming from a professional company myself, I wouldn't send my daughter anywhere else.

My daughter has attended Texas Ballet Theater School for the past 3 years. After watching her last night during Parent Observation Week I have to say her growth as a dancer is amazing. She has attended other Ballet Schools in the past, but this has been the best experience by far. We have been so impressed with the skill and technique that is taught at Texas Ballet Theater School. The staff have always been courteous and professional. They really seem to care about the students. If anyone is looking for a Quality Professional Ballet Education in the DFW area for their child, "This is the School

* They claim their classes operate with a syllabus, but will not share it with parents or students. This leaves serious dancers with no goals/checklist, and effectively cuts parents out of the dance education of their children since they have no basis on which to discuss things with teachers/administration.
* Dancers with no experience are put in classes with children who have much more experience and knowledge. After five years of ballet, my child was expected to "forget" things and was bored in class. Even when reinforcing basics, a child should be invested/challenged - and ours wasn't.
