We are a small bakery located in Lenexa, KS that is women owned and operated. We enjoy creating unique desserts and pastries as well as one-of-a-kind custom designer cakes. At The Pantry KC, we pride ourselves on collaborating with and supporting other local business. Dee graduated in 2015 from the New England Culinary Institute, one of the most world-renowned programs in the country, but that's not where her interest in baking began.
After completing her degree in genetics at Purdue she started baking as a hobby and quickly realized just how passionate she was about it. Dee has worked in some of the most distinguished pastry departments in the United States including The Omni at Mt. Washington in New Hampshire and The Little Nell in Aspen.

Our tender, British style scones start with the best ingredients. We use only European style butter, sweet cream and real fruits, zests and berries. We believe in a simple flavorful recipe where these key ingredients get to shine. We never glaze our scones and we never frost them! Our scones contain less sugar than the average scone because we want you to taste the natural sweetness in the butter and "Johnsonshire Clotted Cream".

At The Pantry KC we make Italian Meringue Buttercream from scratch. We never use shortening! We only use a European style butter. Italian Buttercream is typically used for high end wedding cakes. At The Pantry KC we believe every cake should be as good as a wedding cake. You will taste and feel the premium quality in our smooth and delicious buttercream cakes.
