I started my career as a home inspector over 6 years ago in Las Vegas and then moved to Texas to continue inspecting there. Now, what is a "picocurie" (pCi)? A pCi is a measure of the rate of radioactive decay of radon. One pCi is one trillionth of a Curie, 0.037 disintegrations per second, or 2.22 disintegrations per minute. Therefore, at 4 pCi/L (picocuries per liter, the EPA's recommended action level), there will be approximately 12,672 radioactive disintegrations in one liter of air during a 24-hour period.

The results from the test kit I use may be useful as a screening tool but is not an acceptable method of determining the level of methamphetamine decontamination in a property. I conduct a two day Radon test using the E-perm Electret Ion Chambers. This requires setting up the canisters at the beginning of the inspection and picking up the canisters approximately 48 hours later.

We hired Heallymonster to inspect our soon to be 1 year old home. Brian was very professional and inspected our home for any possible problems. What I loved is that he took pictures of being in our attic, including serial/model numbers of our furnace and AC units. Best of all we have peace of mind knowing that our house is in great shape!
