Scott is a retired career Infantry Officer and former Brigade and Battalion Commander. Colonel Mac Leod has more than 31 years of service, two deployments to Iraq, and is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College. He is also an adult discipleship leader and Board Chairman at his church, GT Austin. The Mac Leod family has been involved with Summit since 2009.

Committed to creating a school that could offer the highest quality Christian education while being better stewards of God's resources, the leadership from both schools began to create a vision whereby the two schools could come together as one. Through God's work in this group of believers, the new entity, Summit Christian Academy, was born.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God. We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature and that we are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God's grace and through faith alone, we are saved.We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

Summit Christian Academy's biblical identity is in Jesus Christ: his Lordship, sovereignty, and ultimate authority. That authority is known to Christians through the Word of God embraced in the Old and New Testaments. We seek to partner with Christian parents to mold students in Christ-likeness. God instituted marriage to be between one man and one woman (Matthew 19:3-12, Luke 16:18, 1 Corinthians 7:2, 1 Corinthians 11:3).
