At the end of his first year teaching Social Studies at Dublin Jerome High School, company founder Brian Stewart thought it would make sense to do some part-time tutoring work over the summer. After all, he had done quite well on standardized tests when he was in high school and really enjoyed coming up with creative ways to explain challenging concepts to students.

Our goal at BWS Education is to provide a customized, highly engaging educational experience that empowers students to learn valuable intellectual skills in the most efficient and effective manner. Much of what looks like teaching is not actual teaching. Just because a teacher is standing in front of a lecture hall "covering the material" is no guarantee that students are understanding it.

All have scored at least in the 95th percentile on a company-administered or previously-taken National Standardized test like the ACT, SAT or GRE. Every tutor has access to the latest proprietary test preparation materials and tutoring methods available through no other company.

Some people are great at taking tests; others are great at explaining things. We only hire tutors who are excellent at both. Company president Brian Stewart personally evaluates and thoroughly trains every tutor. Before even earning an interview, candidates must have test scores in at least the 95th percentile and must have extensive instructional experience.
