Dr. Ariel Majjhoo is dually board certified in Pain Medicine and Neurology. He received his medical degree from Wayne State University. He then completed a 2-year internship in Internal Medicine before entering a highly ranked Neurology residency program at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center.

Pain is highly subjective, and thus can be a minimal barrier to some but debilitating to others. In addition, the quality of your pain is individualized with a variety of possible presentations. At NIPM, we realize this and will take into account these factors when choosing a treatment plan that best works for you.

Gaining control over and finding relief from acute and chronic debilitating pain conditions. Pain is a highly subjective condition as everyone feels pain differently. Consequently, pain conditions can be difficult to diagnose. While some people are able to perform daily tasks with a certain level of pain, others may find their condition to be too severe and completely debilitating, leaving them on bed rest or lessening their independence.

Prescription or over-the-counter pharmacologic pain management for symptomatic relief and control. Pharmacologic pain management is shown to alleviate pain symptoms by administering prescription (Rx) or over-the-counter (OTC) medications. If you are considered a good candidate for pharmacologic pain management, there are a variety of medications from which your physician may choose to administer, prescribe, or recommend.
