At PhD Swim School, from the first lesson we begin to build an easy, sustainable swim sequence in all of our students, attainable by even nonverbal children. This involves teaching children to swim horizontally in the water, recover laterally for a breath, then roll horizontally to continue swimming.

Compensating our staff fairly for their hard work is one of our core values as a company. We pay all staff a living wage, and all swim instructors after training will start at $15/hr during their first sessions and progress to $20/hr during their first 6 months. The training process for survival swim instructors is often cost-prohibitive at other programs and can cost the trainee anywhere from $5,000-$15,0000+.

At the end of the program your child will be able to swim and save themselves in a water emergency. Only available to graduates of Survival or children who can swim 10 meters with breath control. SEMI-PRIVATE for siblings and Individual for non siblings Once-a-week: $165/child per session. PhD Swim School reserves the right to refuse services and/or deactivate your Family Portal Account if payment is not received.

Do they actually learn to swim? Yes, and quickly! Your (walking) child will learn to swim a short distance to a destination very early in the program. Babies who are not yet walking well will learn to float independently. What if my child can't put their face in the water? Breath control is a skill; submerging the head is not.
