Voltaire Coffee Roasters started with a passion for coffee and a love for its city. Located in Downtown San Jose, Voltaire has been providing the highest grade of specialty coffee to help start the day for many in Silicon Valley. We pride ourselves in our consistence in quality, roasting our own beans in-house & sourcing them directly from fair-trade markets that work with local farmers.
Fun fact: Voltaire was a French philosopher/writer in 18th century who's well known for drinking 50+ cups of coffee everyday! Not only was he healthy, he actually lived to the ripe age of 83. He was a regular at the famous cafe Le Procope, and you can still find Voltaire's desk displayed at the Le Procope in Paris.

According to the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA), only coffees with scores 80 points or above on a 100-point scale is graded as "specialty." Specialty coffees are usually grown high in mountains and under the most ideal climates, and are distinctive because of their full cup taste and close to no defects.
