D. Jeanne Ross began studying piano very early and earned degrees at UNC Chapel Hill in piano and foreign language: after studying French, she turned her linguistic focus to Russian at the same time she was pursuing music. After university, she established a piano studio where she trained students recognized for outstanding performance in recitals, workshops and competitions.
Ms. Ross also taught French in a progressive NC magnet school program & trained in ESL education. In a career turn, Ms. Ross began pursuing theater. Lured to NYC, she quickly had her own off-Broadway productions up & running. Ms. Ross co-wrote plays and performed musically in all productions. Later, she became involved in the NYC music industry- first with ASCAP, then with EMI Music Publishing.

Ravel Studios welcomes private piano and music students! Our daughter has been working with Jeanne Ross for three years now and has grown tremendously during this time. Not only is she becoming fluent in reading music and playing the piano, but our ten-year-old is also developing a deep appreciation for music and learning the importance and benefits of sustained practice.
