Questions
What qualifies as a disability under Social Security?
Social Security considers you disabled if you cannot perform previous work, cannot adjust to other work due to medical conditions, and your condition lasts at least a year or results in death.
Can I apply for disability benefits while working?
Your eligibility depends on your earnings level. Social Security sets specific income thresholds that determine if your work activity affects disability eligibility.
How long does the disability application process take?
Initial decisions typically take 3-5 months. Appeals can take longer depending on case complexity and hearing schedules at different review levels.
What should I do if my disability claim was denied?
Appeal as soon as possible. Missing deadlines requires reapplication. Representation increases chances of success, particularly at the hearing stage of appeals.
What geographic areas do you serve?
We serve clients throughout Northern California including Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Sacramento counties with additional representation in federal cases nationwide.
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes, we provide free initial consultations to evaluate your case, answer questions about eligibility requirements, and explain our representation process for disability claims.

Report
Mr. Kelly gave me excellent advice and when needed, representation. I had to appeal twice and ended up with an Administrative Law Judge hearing.I truly believe that having an attorney present with me at the hearing was pivotal in a positive outcome and all the preliminary work he did leading up to this stage ensured the judge had all the documentation of my health issues to understand the whole pictureand make this favorable full finding. Mr. Kelly was always accessible and responsive throughout the entire process.
