Thank you for visiting! I hope this site will help make you familiar with my work and me (as much as that is possible to do in this electronic medium). I find that the web and e-mail are fine for initial contacts, but by the time you have decided to have me engrave for you, personal contact is a must, either by phone or face to face at one of the many shows I do.
I have been engraving, full time, since 1979, beginning with Scrimshaw (The Art of Engraving on Ivory). I learned to make silver and gold jewelry so as to mount my scrimshaw and soon began hand engraving jewelry. I progressed into knife engraving (which is still a large part of the work I do), perfecting my engraving skills until the time I cut my first gun in 1988.

Single Action Revolvers
Report
The majority of engraving I do is on Single Actions for "Cowboy Action Shooters". An engraving might run just $55 for your Backstrap up to about $1200 for a fully engraved gun. My forte is scroll in the style of the 1880s on "Guns of the Old West". Single Action Six Shooters, lever Action Rifles and 1911s keep me busy and are what I do best.
Engraving Class
Report
Please let me know to add you to my "Class" E-mail list to keep you updated on new classes or Used Engraving Tools I come across. Regular class are $950 and you need not bring a thing-I have 5 benches of tools and every engraving tool known to man. I have always had an aptitude for teaching and conveying information well and have shared what I have learned over the years with many on an informal basis.
Pricing
Report
This Ruger Vaquero is fully engraved and cost $1200 for the engraving. Each order is priced depending on the time spent for engraving but this is typical of the single action revolvers. Pricing: Most people who know my work just hand me a gun with a vague idea of the price range they have in mind and I take it from there, creating an engraving around the shape of the gun and the price range.
