Improving the lives of children and adults with disabilities in central Indiana through equine-assisted therapies and activities. As our 4-year-old son Jack recovers from a brain tumor, Morning Dove has been transformational in our lives. The therapy we have had with Starbucks has helped him to make significant strides in balance and motor skills as he is learning to walk again.
Just as important, his self-confidence grows more and more every week. The best part is to Jack, it's an outlet to just have fun. Morning Dove plays a huge part in my son's life. The therapeutic benefit he gets from closely simulating walking he doesn't get anywhere else, plus the stretching and following directions.

Equine Assisted Services
Report
Morning Dove serves groups through many unique programs, including field trips, workshops, and our unique Lead Changes program serving at-risk youth and adults. Morning Dove's Lead Changes program serves the at-risk community in an Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) group format, including sessions designed for youth and for addiction rehabilitation.
Horses
Report
Generally teenagers are the most successful - old enough to know things but young enough to still want to learn a few new things. Morning Dove horses are typically care-leased from owners who want to stay in their horse's lives and have a place for them to retire when the time comes. We will accept a horse as a donation under the right circumstances for the horse, owner, and Morning Dove.
