Ever since moving to Saratoga in 1993, Jason Friedman has envisioned opening a deli for the locals like the ones he grew up eating at in the neighborhoods of Long Island. These delis had soul. They did things the right way and didn't take shortcuts. We hope you'll find Fat Paulie's Delicatessen a fitting tribute to the ideals of these old school delis, and a nice addition to the already great delis and restaurants that Saratoga has to offer.
Everything at the deli is made in-house using traditional methods and preparations including all prepared deli salads, stocks, sauces and soups. Fresh bread is delivered every single day from Anthony & Sons Italian Bakery downstate. Yesterday's bread is used as breadcrumbs and croutons. Fresh mozz is made every single day from local milk.
