Lizzie Gavin is a speech-language pathologist based in New York City. She treats all receptive, expressive and pragmatic language disorders, as well as articulation and phonological disorders. She specializes in treating students with language delay, and social learning challenges. Lizzie has extensive training in the Social Thinking curriculum, and believes that social cognitive skills are the basis for all social and academic language skills.
Lizzie received her Bachelor of Arts degree from The George Washington University and her Master of Science degree from CUNY Hunter College. She is a licensed Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence through The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

If you are concerned about your child's speech, language, social or academic skills, call today for a free phone consultation. We will determine the areas of need, if a complete evaluation is recommended, and the best approach for treatment. A Comprehensive evaluation may be conducted if your child has not yet been diagnosed with a speech or language disorder.
Workshops

LG Speech Therapy offers a variety of school & family trainings to educate teachers and parents on speech and language development and disorders. The goal of these trainings is to help adults working with children understand typical language development and discover ways to support communication skills across all settings.

In our 12-week program, your child will learn the writing skills they need to succeed this school year. LG Speech Therapists will utilize the clinically-proven Self-Regulated Strategy Development program designed to enhance your child's writing skills by fostering a sense of self-confidence and independence.
