Advancetech Aircraft Maintenance, Inc. was established in 1984, and is celebrating its 30th year on California's Monterey Peninsula at the Salinas Municipal Airport. Advancetech specializes in the inspection and maintenance of the Beechcraft King Air Series and Cessna Citation Series aircraft and the Pratt & Whitney family of engines installed on these aircraft.

Advancetech Aircraft Maintenance, Inc. was established in 1984 by Charles A. (Chuck) Pittenger who began his career in aviation at the age of 17 when he enlisted in the United States Navy. In 2005, Chuck was honored with the Charles Taylor "Master Mechanic" Award recognizing Chuck's 50 plus years in aviation excellence presented to him by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Advancetech sets the highest standards for all of its employees, and through close supervision and continuous training, those standards are achieved. Advancetech's maintenance department managers are FlightSafety trained in both Beechcraft King Air and Cessna Citation airframes and engines, and its mechanics are not just highly trained, but are continuously trained as required by Advancetech's FAA repair station certification.

King Airs and Citation Jets

Over the past couple of years, we have seen a growing trend of business aircraft owners, especially in the agriculture industry, replacing their old, reliable Beechcraft King Air turboprop airplanes with Cessna Citation business jets. Advancetech has seen this first hand with a number of our King Air customers moving to the Cessna CJ Series, 550 Series, and even the Model 680 Sovereign.
