Buying from us is easy. You may browse our online catalogue, which will be available approximately two weeks before the date of the auction, or visit our Gallery the week before the auction to view items available for sale. Once you find that perfect item, you may inspect it at our Gallery to determine its condition.

At The Potomack Company our goal is simple: to help you realize the true value of your property with high-level expertise and customer service. We conduct fully-catalogued live auctions with bidding in-person, via the telephone, by absentee bids and through the internet. This range of options allows your property to reach a world-wide audience of potential buyers.

Our clients include financial managers and executors who are responsible for the dispersal of collections and estates. We are happy to provide our clients with the most efficient means of liquidating their estates. In addition to live auctions in our Gallery, we provide on-site liquidation of entire estates, including real estate.

Absentee bids can be left on any online lot as soon as the catalog has been posted on Invaluable and bids will be accepted until the lot closes. Bids are taken in the form of a maximum bid, which the auction house cannot see. Invaluable's SecureBid system then bids on your behalf up to that maximum.

Now that you are the successful bidder, the item is yours! Payment is due immediately upon conclusion of the auction. Please remember that property at The Potomack Company is sold 'as is' and all sales are final. The Potomack Company accepts payment in the form of cash, check, money order or wire transfer, Visa, and Master Card.
