Southlands Foundation
On 200 glorious acres in Dutchess County, the Southlands Foundation teaches horseback riding, horsemanship, and the love, understanding and skillful care of horses to adults and children of all ages. We offer horse stables, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, and miles of trail to ride or walk.

Our goal is to provide a historical and agrarian connection to the community and to cultivate respect and love for the land and its animals through education, conservation and outdoor recreation.All of us at The Southlands Foundation are brokenhearted at the loss of Nicole Marie Wiley, who passed unexpectedly this summer.

With a history spanning over three hundred years, The Southlands Foundation continues to provide the public with an understanding of the environment through outdoor recreational activities, particularly in the instruction of horsemanship, horsemastership, and husbandry to people of all ages.

The Southlands Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit, tax exempt educational organization Section 501 c (3) dedicated to providing for and understanding of the environment and its creatures through outdoor recreational activities, particularly in the instruction of horsemanship, horsemastership and husbandry to people of all ages.
Membership

Deborah Dows created the Southlands Foundation in 1983 to preserve her lands, care for the animals, and continue the development of individuals of all ages. Your membership helps us to provide for the care of equine friends that includes feed, shoes, bedding, and veterinary care. Membership also helps us to maintain the extensive grounds and buildings of our facility.

Spring is coming to Southlands again. It is coming, and we can feel it! With Spring comes the annual membership drive. Your Membership donations support the school horses, the riding facilities, the buildings, and the land. Mrs. Dows took pride in the unique qualities of Southlands and its role as a refuge in peoples' lives.
General Donations

When you choose to donate beyond your annual membership your assistance goes to so many places. Your generosity can help with so many of Southlands programs. As a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization all donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law. Southlands horses receive the finest medical attention and care.
