Inverness Golf and Country Club, a semi-private golf club, has long been known as one of Citrus County's premier golf courses. The par 72 course has five sets of tees, ranging from 6194 yards to 4380 yards, with water coming in a play on 7 of the 18 holes. The club offers many golf options for men and women, including varying groups on a daily basis, as well as several annual tournaments.
Two of the most popular and well-known are the Citrus County Senior Open in February and the St. Patrick's Day tournament in March. Inverness Florida - Located on the Nature Coast of Florida is the private Inverness Golf and Country Club, located south of the City of Inverness Florida off U.S. Highway 41 in Citrus County. Inverness was established in 1868 and called Tompkinsville after the original settler Alf Tompkins (Uncle Alf).

Our members appreciate the well manicured greens, as well as the strategically placed bunkers and water hazards. The use of the naturally hilly terrain, enhanced by beautiful trees, shrubs, and flowers, makes each round memorable. Some of the many privileges that our members are entitled to include unlimited golf, as well as reduced greens fee rates and cart fees for member's guests.

Membership in the Country Club shall be open to persons of good moral character who are interested in golf, swimming and tennis, as well as social activities for the benefit of the members and the community. Membership is available without regard to race, color, sex or national origin. Golf - Provides use of club facilities for the married member, spouse and children under the age of 21.
