One of the goals of the Fairport Soccer Club is to be able to provide a place to learn and play the game of soccer for every child who wants to. The help of our wonderful community and generous sponsors have allowed us to get one step closer to doing just that. It is with great pleasure that the Board of Directors have approved the return of the FSC Community Soccer Grant.
This grant will cover some or all of the registration fees as well as the uniform cost to a player(s) who's family would otherwise not be able to manage due to financial limitations. The purpose of these guidelines is to give our players the best possible chance of being able to compete safely during these trying times.

There are three basic levels of soccer: recreational, travel, and premier. Each of these differs in level of play, player, and parent commitment, amount of travel, and cost. Recreational soccer is the least competitive and requires less time and commitment than either travel or premier soccer.
Travel Soccer is designed for players who have an interest and the ability to benefit from additional soccer training and to compete at a higher level of play.Because it is competitive, the program requires more time, effort, and commitment from both the player and parents. This is a commitment matched by the coaches and Board of Directors of FSC.

After hundreds of hours of planning and training, we are ready once again to begin playing outdoor soccer. As parents and spectators, we ask - and expect - you to play an important role in the success of this season. Beyond supporting all of our exciting players, volunteering your time, and supporting our outdoor tournament in July, we need one more thing: Your consistent display of positive, good sportsmanship, cheering and behavior!

1. Remember soccer is a team sport - be there for your teammates and trust that they will be there for you. 2. Maintain great sportsmanship at all times - regardless of the score, what an opponent says or does to you, or even if the referee's calls don't seem to be going your way. 3. Let your feet and soccer skills do the talking on the field; talk positively to your teammates only.
