Classes are offered in Burton/Flint, Carman-Ainsworth High School, Flushing, and Swartz Creek. Major Driving School is committed to becoming the leading provider of driver education in the Flint area and teaching new drivers how to apply basic principles of driving so they can become "Good, Safe, Courteous and Aware" drivers.

Byron Major has a Bachelor degree in teaching and has taught driver education for more than 27 years.

Am I ready? To find out if you are ready to take a road test, or driver test as some call it, please read and study the booklet, "Road Skills Test Study Guide", which you can obtain online or from your local Secretary of State's office. Please pay close attention to requirements section. 4. Written or digital driving log as proof of 50 hours practice driving, (40 day and 10) night of driving with your level 1 license.

From the Genesee Valley Mall, Get to the intersection of Linden and Miller, then go west on Miller Rd. From the intersection, go the length of one football field and the Tile and Stone Express parking lot will be on your right, North side of the road. It is next to Big Lots and it is also next to Gander Mountain.

Adult Driver Education

Major Driving School offers the very finest in driver education instruction and has been approved by the Michigan Department of Education. Our school is also licensed by the Michigan Department of State, school license number P000378. Checks can be made payable to Major Driving School LLC. Adult Driver Ed includes either 24 hours of classroom and/or behind-the-wheel training.

When can I take my road test? You can take your road test when you have had your White Level 1 License for at least 6 months and have completed Segment 2 OR when you have had at least 30 days on your Adult Temporary Instruction Permit (TIP). Can I take my road test if I am under 16? Yes you can!

You can take a road test as long as you have had your White Level 1 License for at least 180 days, about 6 months and have completed Segment 2, but you CANNOT obtain your Level 2 license from the Secretary of State until you have turned 16.When can I take my road test if I am 18 or older?
