Welcome to Camp St. Charles: Catholic Summer Adventures & Retreats
Camp St. Charles was established in 1952 as a boys' camp and has evolved into a coeducational program serving children aged 6 to 13. Our mission is to provide a safe, faith-based environment where campers engage in structured outdoor activities that promote personal growth, independence, and lifelong friendships. We offer a diverse range of experiences, including water sports, team challenges, and environmental education, all supervised by trained professionals. Our retreat programs provide adults with opportunities to reconnect in a serene waterfront setting. With over seven decades of experience, we combine tradition with innovation to create memorable experiences for every participant. Our staff, many of whom return annually, undergo rigorous training to ensure camper safety and engagement. The camp's unplugged approach encourages meaningful interactions with nature and peers. Located in Southern Maryland, our 9692 Meadowview Drive property features rustic cabins with modern amenities for both summer and seasonal retreat guests. We prioritize accessibility through flexible registration options and family discounts. As a faith-driven organization, we integrate Catholic values into all aspects of our programs.

Truly a great experience for my sons. First year at this camp. I was worried. My boys had a bad experience last summer at an overnight camp that was only across the street from my house - said they would never do an overnight camp again. Sign them up for two weeks at Camp St. Charles. Worried Mom here. First letter from kid at camp. I love this place. It is the most fun I have ever had. The Camp Director, Laura is terrific and the counselors are fun and engaging. There is so much to do - tubing, stand up paddle boat, swimming (newly renovated pool), horseback riding, archery, lots of fun and games

This my 6th year going to Camp St Charles and you can see why. It is so amazing! There are so many things to do at camp. The second Monday of camp is called Manic Monday and you get ice cream for breakfast!, and on the night before you can stay up way past your bedtime swimming or watching a movie. Overall, camp is a lot of fun, I would definitely recommend.

Loved it. Before the internet, kids had fun hanging out with other kids and talking. Lots of activities. The horses, pool, and skull island trips are the best.
