Over the past twenty years, we have evaluated well over one thousand children and adolescents, guided many children to better grades and self-esteem, counseled hundreds of teenagers in finding the colleges that are right for them, and assisted families in finding boarding schools and therapeutic programs for those students with learning and behavioral challenges.The Davidson Center for Learning and Academic Planning was founded in 1999.

Mary Jane Freeman is a lifelong educator and brings more than thirty years of experience in working with children and families. After twenty years as a classroom teacher and guidance counselor in both middle school and high school, she has worked privately as an educational consultant and has assisted hundreds of students and families in finding the right colleges, boarding schools and special needs programs.

Cognitive/Learning Processing Evaluation (viewing auditory and visual perceptual skills, simple memory, and specific motor skills). Different from and more challenging than tests taken in school, these assessments have defined formats and content that students can come to understand. Research indicates that targeted instruction and practice can significantly increase scores over time.
