Big Scary Tree Recording Studios specializes in recording human beings playing real organic instruments in all genres of music in an outstanding sounding acoustically correct space on Class-A gear both vintage and new! The studio has all of the creature comforts of home including full bath and eating/lounge area.
Arrangements can often be made for accommodations on longer projects for out of town clients! The studio is also available to engineers, producers and other studio owners who do not have adequate space to cut basic tracks, loud guitars or live drums. These sessions are available at discounted rates with or without second engineer!

Big Scary Tree Recording Studio began as a small 16-track demo room inside Yo Rehearsal studios in North Hollywood in the mid to late 1980s. Then called "Yo Demo, " Jeb made countless demos for many artists of which several were commercially released. Quickly outgrowing the space, Jeb Partnered with Jhon Williams (no relation to the composer) who had the leasehold on the 808 East 3rd Street location in the heart of the artist loft district.

Jeb Lipson has been recording other artist's music since the mid 1980s. After moving to Los Angeles in 1985 with his band The Onlys, Jeb quickly started building a reputation as the guy to go to for a real recording for your rock band at a fair price in the Los Angeles area. Still involved in playing and writing music, Jeb is both a solo artist and also plays in a band and writes songs with Solomon Burke Jr.
