Port Washington, New York is located on the north shore of Long Island. It is the last stop on the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) Port Washington line. Travel times from Manhattan, NYC Penn Station (20 miles) range from 26 to 47 minutes (based on whether an express train is available). Port Washington has countless great drinking and dining opportunities.

Capt Andy has over 30 years of regional fishing experience, and is an accomplished writer, seminar speaker, tournament angler and expert on both inshore and offshore fishing. We do our very best to update our fishing reports as often as possible! Sometimes it may take a day or so especially when we are busy. Even when we are not on the water, we know exactly what is going on, so don't be shy, pick up the phone and give us a call. If the bite is slow, we will tell you. No one (especially the captain) enjoys a slow day of fishing, we would much rather reschedule your Long Island Sound fishing trip.

All rods, reels, and terminal tackle is provided, but for those of you who want to bring your own, you will want to check out the the following recommendations. Conditions, the availability of certain sizes of fish, and bait concentrations change all the time. A last minute call or email will ensure that you bring the right gear!
