Started in 1988 by Brian Scott, Doyle Opticians of Deerfield, Inc. was founded, and in 1996 acquired Marcus Opticians from a long time colleague and friend. As a whole, both offices are here to produce and provide the finest quality eyewear with exceptional service to the communities in which we serve.

As a primary health care provider our doctor will thoroughly examine, diagnose, and provide management options for many types of ocular disorders, in addition to providing prescriptions for spectacles and fitting contact lenses of all types.

So many advances are being made in contact lenses every day - improved comfort, correction for more vision types and healthier to wear, too. If you've ever been told that you can't wear contacts, check with our doctor or any of our staff to see if there are new options available for you. Most modern contacts are either "soft" lenses or gas permeable "rigid" lenses.

Loss of Vision screening is a brief exam that can catch some existing and potential vision problems. A screening cannot actually diagnose what is wrong with your eyes - it usually only determines that the subject should make an appointment with an eye doctor for a more comprehensive exam. Typical vision screening only tests acuity-distance, which is what most people know as viewing the standard eye chart and measuring vision at a distance.
