Rides & Reins TEC Inc is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization serving the Washington County Community Area for 19 years located on 45 acres in Polk, Wi (near Slinger, WI). Our mission is to help those with special needs experience physical, cognitive and emotional benefits through horse assisted activity.

In 1998, Don Elias leased his arena and horses to a group of therapists to work with special needs children and adults. He saw how helpful his horses could be. Don & his wife Renee were dedicated to helping the special needs individuals with the program. In the beginning, Don saw a number of children and adults turned away because of their inability to pay for this service.

At Rides & Reins TEC Inc, we believe in the ability of our horses to help clients with emotional, and physical needs. The relaxation of horseback riding can strengthen muscles and improve balance and coordination. It is the sincere pleasure of Rides & Reins TEC to provide riders with developmental, emotional and physical needs the experience of relaxation thru horseback riding.
