The name 'Adelphia' is of Greek origin and literally means 'brothers and sisters'. This name signifies the importance of our community (brotherhood) and our union in Christ. Through ancient Greek philosophers, we learn that an ordered love, 'ordo amori', directs us to love what we ought to love - Truth, Beauty, and Goodness.
These ancient philosophers also teach us that even though Truth, Beauty, and Goodness are knowable, they are never fully knowable in our lifetime, because they are divine and, therefore, infinite. The ancient Greeks did not know our Triune God, the author of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness; yet they rationalized that divinity existed.

Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand. We are located in Orange County, California and serve families in the city of Orange and surrounding communities. Academy families travel from north Orange County (Anaheim), south Orange County (Lake Forest), east Orange County (Corona), and west Orange County (Huntington Beach).

We believe the Bible to be the word of God and an infallible authority for faith and practice. We believe that there is one God eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. We believe that God created the heaven and earth, including all life, by a direct, supernatural act, and not by a process of evolution.

Mr. Bettenhausen is the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Westminster (last 14 years), and also serves as City Attorney for 2 other cities. Mr. Bettenhausen specializes in the representation of municipalities, in business formation, non-profit organizations, and in zoning & land use matters. Most recently he served as Vice President of Veritas Classical Academy.
