Advocates for Reproductive Health and Rights
Physicians for Reproductive Health (PRH) has been a steadfast advocate for equitable reproductive health care since its founding in 1992. Our mission centers on organizing and empowering medical providers to advance sexual and reproductive health rights through education, advocacy, and strategic communications. We prioritize patient-centered care, ensuring access to abortion services and comprehensive health care free from barriers, shame, or stigma. Our Leadership Training Academy equips over 520 physician advocates across 46 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico with the skills to engage policymakers, media, and communities. We approach advocacy through an intersectional justice lens, addressing systemic inequities that disproportionately impact marginalized groups, including people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those experiencing poverty.

With a team of 19 full-time professionals, we file amicus briefs, respond to legal threats, and provide evidence-based resources to protect reproductive rights. Our work extends beyond legal access to creating a world where everyone feels safe and supported in accessing necessary care. We foster a diverse and inclusive community of advocates, grounded in trust, compassion, and equity, to build a future where no one is denied essential health care. PRH operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, committed to transparency and accountability in all our efforts.

Leadership Training Academy
Our intensive training develops physicians into effective advocates through media coaching, policy workshops, and hands-on advocacy opportunities. Participants gain expertise in legislative testimony, op-ed writing, and coalition-building to advance reproductive health equity across clinical, academic, and community settings.
Equity-Focused Policy Reform
We address intersecting oppressions impacting health care access by advocating for policies that prioritize marginalized communities. Our work tackles maternal mortality, criminalization of care, and structural inequities through amicus briefs, coalition partnerships, and evidence-based policy recommendations grounded in provider expertise.
