The Montessori Children's Room, located in Armonk, New York, is a private educational center dedicated to providing a quality education with high academic standards in a warm loving environment. The Montessori Children's Room grew from a group of parents who banded together in 1968 to provide the materials and atmosphere where their children could grow into warm people who reach for excellence in all things.
Two years later the school moved to its present location on Old Route 22 next to Armonk's Whippoorwill Park. Since this time, the program and facilities have been continually expanded and improved to better serve the needs of our children. The College Board has selected Christine Fernandez, a senior at Convent of the Sacred Heart (and former Montessori Children's Room Student), as a scholar in the 2009-10 National Hispanic Recognition Program. Fernandez is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Fernandez of West Harrison. The National Hispanic Recognition Program was initiated in 1983 to identify outstanding Hispanic/Latino high school students.

Our theme based summer camp program for children 18 months to 6 years is a perfect way for your child to enjoy summer to its fullest potential. Children meet new friends, play new games, try new foods and even speak new languages. The Montessori Children's Room accepts children from toddler age to first grade. This is a school, not a day care center, therefore, children enroll for the academic year. On a space available basis we will enroll a child during the year. Our school day runs from 9:00am to 3:30pm. Our half day program runs from 9:00 to 1:00pm.
