History of Corbett Prep

Founded in 1968 as an independent, nonsectarian school, Corbett Prep now serves more than 500 college-bound students in PreK3 through 8th grade. Gatlin and Anderson had been studying gifted education under Dr. Dorothy Sisk in the University of South Florida's first Gifted Education Masters Degree Program.

Parents at Corbett Prep are a significant part of the child's learning experience both in and out of the classroom. All parents of current students and all members of the Corbett Prep teaching and administrative staff are automatically members of the Parent-Faculty Association (PFA), a vibrant partner in educating students at Corbett Prep.

Our numerous volunteer opportunities provide assistance in the classroom as well as to various school programs, such as athletics, fine arts and technology. Our parents are active in planning classroom celebrations, organizing teacher and staff appreciation efforts, helping the school communicate with families and coordinating "friendraisers" and fundraisers to support the Corbett Prep community!
Peacock Classic Golf Tournament & Social

Corbett Prep's annual golf tournament is back - with a tailgate twist! For the first time, we are pairing our Peacock Classic with a casual tailgate after party for all adults. Come for golf, stay for football! We'll be hanging out following the tournament for a cookout, lawn games and viewing of the SEC Championship game.
